Art in Exile

This ted talk gave me insight into some of the struggles an Iranian woman faces living in their country. I was unaware of the CIA's coup in the 60's and the Islamic revolution, and before that Iran was secular. Which ties into the point that the speaker made about the battle between the views about Iran in the west and the struggles she faces against her government. Western culture seems to be very miss informed about the politics in the middle east and i can see how difficult that might be to anyone from the middle east living in America.
