Kavita Ramadas

In the Tedtalk Kavita Ramadas explains how women are treated unfairly in other countries. I think as an American woman, I don't understand where she's coming from. Although American women are treated unfairly compared to American men, we have fairly easy compared to other countries. In other countries women are made to be wife, mother, and house keeper, etc., they are not offered education in many places, let alone their own voice. Here women can pretty much get any kind of job they want, marry or not marry if they'd like, and now only go to school but even college. There are some ways women are discriminated in the U.S. but I think we should focus more on how lucky we are to even be able to do things we can, because women in other countries literally give their lives fighting to get these rights.
