Hispanic Stories

I think it's really sad how some people leave their country's and come to America for a better life but when they get here it's hard for them to fit in and they get discriminated a lot. In Persepolis, Marjane leaves Iran for a better life in Austria, but she was discriminated a lot, she ended up completely changing her look and she lied about where she was from just to fit in. It has always been kind of hard for me to fit in anywhere but I don't think it's just because I'm Mexican. I think it's actually harder for me to fit in with my own family though because they mostly stick with the Mexican culture and don't try experiencing much more, but I like a lot of different things that they don't, and they'll think it's weird and make fun of me.
