Kentucky Outlook: Bryan Anderson - Iraq War Vet

Bryan Anderson is a veteran from the Iraq War. In 2005 he lost his legs and an arm from being bombed. In Persepolis Marjane reunites with an old friend. She came to find out he too was missing a few body parts from being bombed in the war. Marjane avoided being awkward and shocked. Actually, they both laughed and joked to be more comfortable. Bryan said how soldiers coped in Iraq was to make fun of everything, laugh, and try to have a good time. At the time Bryan lost his body parts he made a comical remark to his friend. He says sense of humor can get you through anything.
