Inquiry Project Follow Up

For my inquiry research project, I am researching the relationship of how the mind is attracted to certain genres of music, or better yet, what makes us attracted to the music that we listen to.  What I have found in my research is that basically there are four different types of personalities; the agreeable, the neurotic, the open to experience, and the extrovert, and each of these personalities is attracted to certain genres of music because of the way that people view their lives and how they view different sounds.  In some of my other research, I found that people are generally attracted to people who have the same sort of music tastes as them, whether it is a relationship or a friendship, studies have shown that if both of you listen to the same sort of music, you are more likely to get along.  My conclusion from this is that music has such a powerful way of touching and reflecting people and who they are and when you surround yourself with people who feel the same way when they listen to certain music, you share this common bond.  Also, each genre of music has its own subculture and the way that you affiliate yourself into one of these subcultures will determine the morals that you have or the lifestyle that you lead.  Moreover,  from my findings, the mind is attracted to certain genres of music depending on your personality, and the lifestyle and people that you surround yourself with.
