TedTalks: Shirin Neshat
I have to say that Shirin's picture were certainly powerful. She definitely emphasized the influence of the military on Iranian women. I think I would have been shocked too, it I returned to a country and found my country switch names, with a new regime and routines. Its kind of sad that she sort of fell into exile from being critical in her films/photos though. Its interesting that she points out that all Iranian artist are political in some way because politics has molded their lives. I liked the selection of her films, they were interesting, the gree movement looked very violent though.
