Kavita Ramdas

In this Tedtalk Ramdas talks about gender inequality specifically how women are treated differently in the workforce as well as in everyday life. This obviously can be related Marjane. One time she was running after a bus and she was told to stop because of the way her butt was moving, and when she is attending college her an her fellow women peers are asked to start wearing longer veils and looser pants so that nothing could be seen. I guess in Iran they see it as a huge distraction and they do not want the women having any sense of individuality because they do not believe women should play a part in any power roles. The men limit the women to make sure they remain on top.
