Environmental Effects on Crime- Inquiry Project Follow Up

I don't like it when something wrong is occurring and hardly anyone knows of it, they've heard of it, but do they really know? Crime rates in this country are a serious problem but the current tactics to address the problems are not very effective. Worse, it can be argued that nothing is being done about it, instead accusing and targeting the innocent. My inquiry project concerns the affects of environment on crime. Currently there are laws that target individuals, track them before a crime is even committed based on prejudice. In short, they are guilty before proven innocent, and treated as such. I hope to be able to inform my peers of this prejudice of the low class, minorities and familiar ties. Currently I have researched incarceration rates in this country( they are the highest in the world), laws that target African american males and those that condemn youths from families with offenders in them.
