Culture Shock
I have always been accepting of foreigners, mainly because we don't know where they come from or even why they are here. For the most part, foreigners are here to better their lives or have a cultural influence. after watching this video, it made me have even more sympathy for foreigners. It is upsetting to see potentially great people be shunned from society just because of where they came from. As society we need to understand that we are all the same. It could have been just as easy for one of us to been born in another country that is less privileged. From my point of view i think that we should be accepting of these people because they are obviously here for a reason. They are creating more nation income, helping with taxes, doing jobs others don't want to do, and they love our country. I understand why these foreigners feel so outcasted, but if they do not stand up for themselves then they will continue to live in the darkness.
I agree with you on this issue. I feel as if Americans shun others who may have come from other cultures, but if you would go to any other country they would shun you or try and make you feel really uncomfortable because you are American. I know the Japanese have a real hatred for Americans and will be really hard on you if you visit their country. I feel like people just can't accept difference and only really like to be on common grounds with other people. Good points though!
