As a group we decided to discuss the issue of child soldiers as presented in Persepolis. In this TedTalk we are shown the process by which a child is recruited and brainwashed into becoming a suicide bomber. We've also decided to supplement our source with a guest speaker on subject, PV2 Macias-Alvarado, Arturo. As someone who's served in the military he has a first hand account of what the other side, the U.S. Army differs from the Talaban. Our discussion and sources emphasize the causes of patriotism, brainwashing, motives as well as perspectives of what is right or wrong.
