Anime for the young

I have decided on choosing to explore the effect of anime on the young. Anime has actually been around since the 1980 but only recently has it exploded. In my research i have found that anime gives western culture a chance to learn about another culture while also entertaining. I'm also going to explore the way western culture influences the way anime is made. My reaserch also found that when anime was first brought over to western countries. They were extremely censored and change to what the western producers thought would appeal to the western culture viewers. Just look up speed racer and you will understand. In most anime the characters to tend to look at like western Caucasians but their clothing style and way of living is Japanese. In the 80's the producers would take out that Japanese culture of living. Which is sad that they had to take away a cultural learning experience just for the sake of ratings. Anime is a great topic and I am very excited to to continue my research on the differences and the way it effects any culture.
