Why don't we complain?
William Buckley touched on some very interesting points about society these days not having the nerve to complain and then getting rejected when they do complain. As some just want to make their voices heard, sometimes people choose to ignore what you have to say or don't acknowledge it at the moment and that becomes very discouraging for people to continue to speak how they feel. I was very interested in everything that Buckley had to say especially when he mentioned how years ago, if there was a problem, we would fix it ourselves. Nowadays, we call the plumber or the technician or whoever to come and fix our problems and I think that that says a lot about society and how their priorities of skills has changed over time. I know personally, whenever my parents would complain to a waiter or whoever, I would always get so embarrassed, but in reality, maybe complaining or saying how you feel is worth it, especially if you are investing money and time on something such as going to a restaurant, or staying at a hotel, etc. Moreover, I enjoyed reading what Buckley had to say as it opened my eyes to the fact that we should be able to say and speak what we want and feel without any sort of intimidations.
