Texting is killing language, jk

I found this Ted Talk to be eye opening, and got me to think about the differences between writing and communicating. Technology lends itself to different styles of communicating, and effects our language. Back when letters were the main form of communication there was a completely different approach than texting today. The amount of time it takes to give and receive packets of  communication affects the way we choose the language we use. texting is a more efficient way communicating because we are able to streamline what we are trying to say. I also found it interesting how every generations communication skills are lacking compared to the way they learned.
