Censorhip

One of the obvious focuses of V for Vendetta is censorship. In the plot of this movie the government is in control of everyone's censorship it seems, in both a private and public sense. Public censorship is the only thing the government should even slightly have a hand in. When it comes to conducting oneself in public if there were no guidelines there would be a lot of interesting things going on, this is where the government can have a say with simple laws to avoid things like streakers, which most can agree isn't a bad thing. In the film the government tries to take control of people's private censorship, being the way one would act when they are in the comfort of their home. In the film everyone must follow outlandish laws that give the government too big of a hand in their private lives. The article attached below asks the question "Who is the censor, who is the censee, and how do they interact?" In a perfect world everyone would be their own censor and censee. In a real world like the one we live in the government is our public censor, and we are our own private censor. In the oppressed world V lives in the the government is the censor of both the people's public and private lives to such an extent that I hope the world never reaches.
