Txtng is killing language. JK!!!
I found this Ted Talks very interesting. John McWhorter is spot on with his explanation of how texting is an evolution of language in which we write how we speak instead of speaking how we write. All I could think about is how "do'h" is in the dictionary and how "ya'll" is not. Language is what you make of it and how you use it. Poetry is regarded as a beautiful, artistic, and insightful use of language, yet poetry doesn't give a damn about grammar, spelling, and classiness, poetry does whatever poetry pleases. Communication is the key, that's why languages developed, so we can talk to each other. As long as you can get your point across to the other party then you're using language just right.
