peer review/response
In Kim Jaxon's One Approach to Guiding Peer Response, explained how when she had done the peer response exercise with her students, they expressed that they actually liked the peer review because they felt that it helped them. I completely agree with this, in that it is very helpful to get someone else's perspective on the assignment to help understand it better. Sometimes your peers may have a better understanding of the assignment, so being able to look at the format they used or what other topics people used. Although, sometimes having your peers read your work is a little nerve wrecking because you are unsure of what they will think of it but at the same time you have to think that most people in your class are most likely at the same writing level as you. Peer response has helped me in the past with my essays as well and do think it will highly benefit other students.
